The new 2020 TRUE A-Series hockey sticks are now available, and Pure Hockey has all the insight you need to purchase with confidence. The 2020 A-Series is the evolution of TRUE’s low-kick stick line, and features several updates and new technologies.
Among these are the BRT+ blade, the SmartPly shaft, and the company’s patented Axenic technology, which combine to make a true one-piece stick that offers great balance and durability. Axenic technology is an innovative compression molding process that co-molds the blade with the shaft, without any post-bonding.
The higher-end A-Series models also feature a special resin system called FiberShield for greater durability. In fact, these sticks are 39 percent stronger than before, thanks to FiberShield.
TRUE AX9 Hockey Stick
The top-of-the-line model, the TRUE AX9 hockey stick is greatly improved over its predecessor, with upgrades in the heel and shaft, making it more durable and better balanced than ever.
TRUE’s Braided Rib Technology (BRT+) results in a stronger, lighter weight blade that performs far more consistently than before.
Axenic technology seamlessly fuses the blade and shaft to create a one-piece stick. The result puts the player’s hands in direct contact with the puck for an increased feel and unmatched control.
Topping off the AX9 stick is a SmartPly shaft. A unidirectional, carbon fiber weave angles the fibers in a way that creates 25 layers in the shaft. It is the perfect marriage between weight, balance, and impact strength.
Coming in at an extremely lightweight 393 grams on the senior build, the TRUE AX9 hockey stick is crafted with the professional player in mind. If you are an elite-level player looking for what the pros use, the TRUE AX9 is a great option.
TRUE AX7 Hockey Stick
Built for the elite player, but with the performance-level skater in mind, the TRUE AX7 hockey stick features many of the same technologies found in the AX9, at a slightly lower price but with a heavier build.
The AX7 includes FiberShield technology to make the stick last longer and hold up to the rigors of regular play. TRUE applies this specially designed resin on top of the SmartPly shaft, which uniquely weaves the carbon fiber into 25 layers for greater balance and durability.
TRUE also builds the AX7 sticks with their Axenic technology, which seamlessly fuses the blade and shaft to create exceptional feel. They also improved the stick blade, specifically in the heel, to ensure the latest generation holds up even better than previous models.
Weighing in at 418 grams on the senior build, the AX7 is heavier than the AX9, but it is still an extremely balanced stick that provides great feel.
If you’re an elite or a performance-level player looking for a high-quality stick, but don’t want to spend at the top of the market, the TRUE AX7 hockey stick is a fantastic option for you.
