First things first: These cloth masks and plastic shields are for playing hockey—they aren’t medical-grade personal protective equipment (PPE). But if you’re looking for the safety of everyday-level masks and the convenience of gear designed especially for your time at the rink, look no further.
Here are our top five favorite shields, conventional masks, and purpose-designed masks for your hockey helmet. We offer our best couple of picks of each type, in no particular order. Play hard and stay safe!
